Crowsnest Vineyards was purchased by the Heinecke family in 1985 when the Winery, Restaurant and Guesthouse were launched. Named after the Crowsnest Highway #3, the family was an early contributor to the development of the Similkameen wine region and the wine and food has continuously evolved over the years. Siblings, Sascha and Anna Heinecke were instrumental in the evolution of the business and with the retirement of their parents, took over leadership in 2018 with a bold new vision.
The vision is built on the bounty of the region…the opportunity to express the spectacular local terroir from which we craft our wines and from which grows amazing, fresh ingredients included in our menus, pantry and bakery. We serve this bounty in a relaxed environment at our tasting bar, in our restaurant and on the view patio.

Our wines are approachable and fresh, and pair well with fun, festivities, fine dining, special occasions and, well, just about anything and any day!
Visit our Tasting Bar to experience our portfolio of wines. Seated tastings, flights, wine by the glass and bottle service also available in the restaurant and patio. Or, if you prefer, pick up a glass or bottle to sip in the picnic area in the vineyard and enjoy the Similkameen sun!
Sascha, a trained chef, is passionate about his artisan sourdough breads. The initial starter began in Europe over 44 years ago and it has been fed ever since. Sascha also created his own young Similkameen sourdough starter and each starter has its own unique profile and purpose.
Sourdough breads are thought by many to be easier to digest and provide higher levels of nutrition than other breads – an added benefit.
